On the occasion of the centenary of World Mission Sunday, the Apostolic Penitentiary has granted a Plenary Indulgence, which can also be applied as a suffrage for the souls of the deceased faithful, to all the faithful who, on the occasion of this celebration, receive Holy Communion and offer prayers for the spread of the Gospel throughout the world.

To obtain the plenary indulgence, in addition to performing the prescribed work, the following conditions must be met:
- Sacramental confession, with sincere repentance for one’s sins.
- Eucharistic communion.
- Prayer according to the intentions of the Holy Father, for example by reciting one Our Father and one Hail Mary.
- Interior detachment from all sin, even venial sin, accompanied by a sincere disposition toward conversion.
Sacramental confession can be celebrated a few days before or after the prescribed work; however, it is appropriate to receive Communion and pray according to the intentions of the Holy Father on the same day the indulgenced work is performed.
May all the faithful receive and share this spiritual gift and unite in prayer for the evangelizing mission of the Church throughout the world.
In Christ,
